Rob Hussey Bio
For Rob Hussey, building homes is more than a career; it's his destiny. The building spark was apparent as a child when Lincoln Logs™ and a Matchbox™ construction site overshadowed anything else in the toy box. As years passed, it became clear he had an affinity for architecture, design, and numbers. These combined interests led Rob to the United States Air Force Academy, where he studied Civil Engineering and Business Management and was honored as a Distinguished Graduate. The University of Southern California awarded Rob a scholastic scholarship to its business school, where he earned an MBA with a concentration in quantitative analysis and finance. After receiving his master's, Rob served his country as a Captain in the United States Air Force at Strategic Air Command Headquarters. He also shaped future officers as an ROTC instructor at both MIT and Harvard University. As Rob's professional career moved towards his destiny as a builder, he became an Assistant Vice President at Lowe Development Corporation, where he was integrally involved in the acquisition, development, and management of commercial office buildings, residential communities, and hotels. In 1990, he founded Hussey Real Estate Group and his true calling was born. Over 200 Hussey homes have been crafted and sold since the company’s inception. Rob continues to perform an active role in the day–to–day operations, paying attention to the myriad details of each new home in Central Valley California. Because after all, destinies don’t just happen; they are achieved with passion and fortitude.
Mike Davis Bio
Mike Davis has been in the building industry for nearly 30 years. Mike started working as a carpenter building homes in Southern California. In 1982, he became a general contractor running crews in the construction of homes and office improvements. Mike went to work for Lowe Development Corporation in 1986, where he met Rob Hussey. At Lowe, Mike built two high-end condominium projects in Indian Wells and shopping centers and office buildings in Orange County. Mike progressed to Lowe's hospitality group, Destination Hotels & Resorts, where he was responsible for the construction of hotel resorts in Oregon and South Carolina. As Hussey Real Estate Group grew, founder Rob Hussey knew he wanted to take control of building the communities' infrastructure and homes and he knew where to look to for the person to head up those tasks: Mike Davis, his friend of 16 years. Mike joined Hussey Real Estate Group in 2002 and co-founded Hussey Real Estate Group's general contracting subsidiary, dh Builders, Inc., and serves as its president. Since then, Mike has built infrastructure and homes for two subdivisions near the Pheasant Run Golf Course in Chowchilla, California, the town where he lives. He is currently building a third subdivision in Jamestown, California, near the historic town of Sonora, California.
