Hussey Real Estate Group

History

The Enclave
Minor Land Division — Four Homes; Aptos, CA
Hussey Real Estate Group purchased this property in 1994. The setting tucked in next to Nisene Marks Park with home sites surrounded by coastal Live Oaks inspired the name, The Enclave. Hussey worked with the local government to process the property for a four-lot minor land division, then with local architect Fred Lattanzio to design four custom, contemporary Craftsman-style estate homes that featured reverse floorplans with second-floor living spaces to maximize the views of the surrounding hills and Monterey Bay. The homes were sold upon completion in 1997 and 1998.

Harborview
Subdivision — 10 Single-Family Homes; Santa Cruz, CA
Hussey Real Estate Group acquired this property in 1994 from Comerica Bank. Hussey worked with the local government to process the property for a nine-lot subdivision and an affordable house on a separate parcel. Hussey named the project "Harborview" because of the commanding views of the Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor that the land plan provided for all of the homesites. Rob Hussey collaborated with local architects to design the custom, Craftsman-style homes, which included a number of nostalgic features like hardwood floors, wood windows, built-in buffets, window seats, walk-in pantries, brick fireplaces, and other details. The homes were completed and sold in the winter of 2000.

Son Vida
45 Townhouses; Salinas, CA
Hussey Real Estate Group purchased this property on a bluff overlooking the Salinas Valley in November of 2000. Hussey worked with local government agencies to refine the plan for this gated community adjacent to a regional park complete with skateboard park, sand volley court, tennis courts, basketball courts, tot lot, and amphitheatre in a creek side setting. Hussey then worked with local architect Tom Carleton to design the Mediterranean-style townhouses. Hussey built and sold the 45 homes in two phases and completed the project from acquisition to sell-out in two and a half years. The name Son Vida literally translates to “They Are Life,” as special attention was paid to infuse the design with vitality and life while still building economically viable homes.

Hussey Real Estate Group has become a leading builder of Central Valley California homes with distinctive communities in Chowchilla (serving real estate needs in Merced, Fresno, Madera, and Modesto Counties) and in Jamestown (serving Tuolumne County real estate).
